10 easy ways to save water:
– Run full loads of laundry only.
– Take shorter showers, a 5 minute shower instead of a 10 minute shower saves 25 gallons.
– Dishwashers typically use less water than washing dishes by hand.
– If washing dishes by hand, don’t let the water run.
– Soak dirty pots and pans instead of running the water while you scrape them clean.
– Cook food in as little water as possible.
– Don’t let the water drain away when you’re rinsing fruits and veggies. Collect it in a bowl and use to water your houseplants.
– Don’t run the water while brushing your teeth or shaving. You’ll save 10 gallons a day.
– Turn off the faucet while you’re sudsing your hands with soap.
– Contact buildingĀ manager if you suspect any water leaks in your unit’s fixtures.
